Basic Technique
If you want to know a little more about archery and archery technique before you start a beginner's course, read through the curriculi on the sub-menu to the left. They are all taken from the FITA Beginner's Manual and we would advise reading them in order.
The Red Feather Award is the starting point and although the award and the shiny badge you get for it is intended for juniors, it does cover the basics of archery from scratch.
The Gold Feather Award is the next step - again this is a junior program but builds on the Red Feather.
The White Arrow Award is for the adults and what we would expect most of our beginner's to achieve.
The Beginner's Manual itself (or Manuel, as FITA describe it) is a hefty 2MB but covers, and explains, all the different award schemes for beginner's and for novices (a novice is someone in their first year of shooting after joining an archery club for the first time).
