Thankfully, the driest 720 for the last four years with no significant rain for the competitors, though those setting up the target faces early Saturday morning did get a little damp. Though not a Premier Event this year (as there are none, though we hope to be part of the expanding National Series next year) the tournament still attracted many excellent archers and saw some strong performances. Three National Records in Ladies Barebow (subject to ratification) were set by Mari Jones (Bowmen of Warfield), and Georgina Morris of Llantranham claimed a FITA Star Award. Well done those two! It was gratifying also, to see a healthy contingent of Longbow archers at this year's tournament.

Single FITA 70m Round

Dry conditions for this morning's round but a freshening cross-wind kept everyone alert. Full results below but in brief:

FITA 70m Head-to-Head

Using the morning round to establish the seedings, the knock-out round was held using a points system (per end) rather than an aggregate score. Though still dry, the steady cross-wind had increased noticeably. In brief:

Double FITA 70m Round

Not an auspicious start to the day when the caterers called at 7:30 to say they weren't coming, but saved by an ad hoc catering committee of Oxford Archers who turned a very small kitchen into a bacon buttie factory within ten minutes. Heroes all, as everyone knows you can't shoot a double FITA without a bacon buttie inside of you. Another dry day on the whole - just one pathetic attempt at a drizzle - but no steady cross-wind of the day before. Instead, a rather variable one. Results in brief:
